We are writing to let you know that we have decided to CANCEL the butcher box for this month.
As many of you know, the abattoir that we were using burned down this summer. We have managed to book spots at another local facility but the dates are later than those we had previously booked meaning that we just don't have a good selection of inventory for you this month and don't want you to pay for a box that you may not be satisfied with.
We will send an email out as soon as we have our new inventory and will issue a 15% discount for anyone who would like to place an order of >$100 value through the farm stand later in the month, just let us know and we will provide you with a discount code or issue a credit to your account.
We also want to make sure you are all aware that our farm share site provider, Harvie, has announced that they will close their site as of the end of this calendar year. We have already started the process of migrating to another site provider, Local Line. Local Line is a Canadian run site that we have been really impressed with during our initial meetings. We are excited about starting to work with them and hope you will love the new format they provide. We will continue with Harvie until the end of October then take the month of November off (so no butcher box in November but please feel free to stock up in October!) to get everything set up with the new site and open the virtual store again in December. The format will change somewhat in that they do not have a regular monthly pre-paid butcher box option but we will be able to offer the same discounted price for butcher box orders over $100 to all members. We will keep you posted on the migration.
