Hello Members!

This week we have a bit of good news and a bit of sad news to share with you...we have decided to close the farm shares for the season BUT will keep the farm stand up and running weekly as long as we have farm fresh products available.

As you know, the platform we are currently using (Harvie Farms) will be closing at the end of this calendar year. We will run the farm stand with their platform until the end of November and then transition to a platform with Local Line starting in December.  We are currently working with their team to migrate all of our information over for a smooth transition for everyone.  We are also considering continuing to attend the Brockville Farmers Market into November if there is interest from our members.  Please let us know if this is something you are interested in!

We still have lots growing in the garden but everything has slowed down dramatically with the decreased hours of sunlight and the cool nights; some of our crops are also running behind schedule after battling with weeds and water soaked soil through parts of the summer.  When we did our garden walk through this morning we were worried that folks may not have the variety they are looking for and we don't want any members to feel they are paying for products they are unhappy with.  We will continue to list everything that we have available to purchase through the farm stand option (sign up here) with the same pick up and delivery options as you have through the farm share program.

This week we are especially excited about our hard working kale which starts getting better and better once it has been kissed by frost.

In the gardens we still have squash, pumpkins, rutabagas, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes and baby ginger, slowly growing.  We will post them on our farm stand store as soon as they are ready for prime time!

Wishing everyone a great week.

Your Farmers,

Greg and Kate.
