And so the CSA season has finally begun and we couldn't be happier :-)
Now if you have NOT done this before, please know that you have until Sunday (tomorrow) at 5pm to make any changes that you may wish to your share. It is pretty easy but give yourself a little bit of time. If you don't feel like or forget to customize your share, no worries, the Harvie farm platform builds your share for you according to the preferences that you set. You can always go back into your profile and reset how you graded something if you feel you are getting too much or too little of something.
Home delivery is being done by Mike and Alex. Being honest, logistics has been a struggle as the farm has grown. We have worked hard to stream-line the routes and our goal is to have all deliveries completed by 7am. The reason for delivering over night is two fold. It is faster for us to get around and it is cooler. That being said, finding locations in the dark is a bit of a challenge and the first week or so is always extra fun :-) It is a very rare thing that we actually 'miss' a delivery. If we are not at your doorstep, typically...it means we just haven't gotten to you yet. If something has gone horribly wrong an email is sent to the group that is expecting delivery that day.
Though it is early yet, things are growing well both on the farm and locally and as such we have a nice initial offering. We hope you enjoy.
