We are very excited to add some more color and variety to your CSA shares this week! We will have the following new items available: cauliflower (white), zucchini, patty pan squash, and yellow squash. We love cooking yellow squash on the grill - just slice it in half lengthwise, drizzle it with olive oil, salt, and pepper and grill it over medium heat until just tender.
If you find that zucchini gets too soft in a frying pan try slicing it in half lengthwise, scooping the seeds out, and slicing it into half moons before cooking it. Taking the seeds out removes most of the water from the squash so it cooks up with a nice firm texture. We tried this for dinner last night and sautéed the half moons in a frying pan with butter, onion, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper - delicious!
