Even though the heat has been crazy brutal these last couple weeks, the cool season plants look pretty good! The regular irrigation is helping tremendously. If we can get a break from the heat I think they'll really start to take off. You'll get a taste of some greens this week with our first harvest of Arugula for the season. Those spicy greens are the only ones that can be ready to harvest this early.
It's great as a salad with apples, nuts and a strawberry vinaigrette. Also great cut up and used in an egg bake with feta cheese and cherry tomatoes!
I'll get better about snapping photos of the farm to share! Just been too focused on hydrating and wringing sweat out of bandanas and shirts!
