It is finally starting to feel like we are getting into a slower, dormant time for the farm. While the high tunnels keep us harvesting and planting as if it is spring, most of the outside field work is done. The garlic shoots are popping out of the soil, the high tunnels are skinned and ready to plant and the seed catalogues are flooding the mail box reminding me it is time to prepare for next year.
