Hello! I hope all of you are well and safe. Currently we plan to continue to distribute produce as normal but we may have to get creative in the very near future. My crew is all healthy and safe and we are taking extra precautions with cleanliness and sanitation.
That said we were already in a bit of a weather crisis before the virus crisis came along. So far we have gotten almost 20 inches of rain in 2020 with very few sunny breaks between rain events. This has kept the fields so saturated that we cannot get in to plow and prepare for planting. In 15 years of farming I have never had a spring so wet that I could not plant my transplants, but now it looks like I may not have a window of opportunity to plant a large portion of them. That said, I do have tricks up my sleeve and expect to have crops to harvest for CSA boxes.
Stay well and eat well!
