Have anyone been checking the weather obsessively like we have? It's looking like this weekend is bring some freezing temps, possibly snow, and we're not excited for that one bit. We've just ordered more row cover to tuck our plants in nice and tight before the arctic weather hits. And then we just hope that most of the crops are hardy enough at this point in the season to be able to withstand a freeze!
The harvest this week brings us the beginning of some of our exciting spring crops, like snow peas. There's not enough for everyone yet, but we're hoping to have lots of them this season. We're also excited for cherry tomatoes from Faust Farm on the North shore. Be sure to look for them and sweet potatoes from Indian Springs in the customization if you didn't get them in your share. Compostella and Major Acre Farm are both contributing baby greens again this week and we'll have more giant carrots from Compostella too. Lester L'Hoste just dropped off another delivery of beautiful, sweet organic grapefruits. Our standard extras are all available, so stock up before Mardi Gras and laissez les bon temps wait until next year :)
