Greetings from the farm.
This week has been an eventful week. To start of the week our large walking cooler broke down. Next our chicken flock was attacked by foxes. To finish of the week our barn collapse in the the large storm that came through Thursday afternoon. In the collapsed barn was trapped our whole feeder beef herd and hog operation. However, with the help of friends, family, neighbors, and community members we were able to save all but four cows. We are still working through the aftermath of everything, so yes we will need help but just don't know what we need yet. We left you know what we need once we get a plan together. Right now we just as for your patience over the next few weeks and we adjust to everything. We want thank everyone that came and helped and the prayers that you have sent.
We do have a little mini broccoli heads this week if you decide to get these in your basket we as you to blanch them in salt water to get the bitterness out due to the hot weather. Also we have some arugula this week. If you do decided to get this there will be holes in it due to bugs. It taste great but doesn't look picture perfect.
We are trying our best as we work through everything. For Thursday deliveries thank you for understanding about the cancellation. We will be giving you credit for the week. Just give me until Sunday night to give you credit.
Again thank you for everything,
Keep safe,
The Schultz Family
