Something told the wild geese
It was time to go,
Though the fields lay golden
Something whispered, "snow."
- Rachel Field
I learned this poem in grade one and think of it every year when the geese start flying south. Although we hope it's a long time til snow, there's a feeling of urgency in fall to get things done before winter. We're still enjoying the beautiful weather though!
We're coming to the end of our summer Farm Share season. If you are on every other week delivery, this will be your last one. Otherwise there's one more week after this. We will still be doing one time Farm Stand deliveries through the fall and into winter as long as we still have produce. Make sure you are signed up for the Farm Stand emails here - https://www.harvie.farm/farm/wandering-shovel-farm/shop.
Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is beef from Barnes Creek Ranch, pasture-raised eggs, fresh baking (baked by my Mom), handmade soap from The Sudsy Llama, and our homemade ranch dressing.
As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.
Have a great week!
