Farm Happenings for July 31, 2024

Posted on July 27th, 2024 by Trent Loewen

We’ve had some very refreshing misty mornings here this last week! It’s pleasant working out in the field with everything shrouded in fog, and the air still and damp.

It looks like there should be lots of peas this week, both snap peas and shelling peas. The tomatoes are also starting to kick into gear, although we’ve lost a lot to blossom end rot already. We’re also going to be digging some potatoes this week. They’re going to be in short supply though, since our early potatoes didn’t come up very well this spring.

And, as I said last week, go ahead and use the credit on your account to fill up your box.

Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is pasture-raised eggs, organic whole wheat flour from Wyatt Organic Farm, fresh baking (baked by my Mom), refrigerator pickles, and our homemade ranch dressing.

As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.

Have a great week!
