Farm Happenings for July 24, 2024

Posted on July 21st, 2024 by Trent Loewen

Wow, lots of good food coming out of the garden now! The heat, together with rain from earlier, is making everything grow like crazy! I hope we can keep on top of it and get things harvested before they bolt to seed. This smoke helps moderate the heat, even though it makes it harder to work outside.

This week we have carrots, beets, broccoli, early cabbage, the first few baby zucchinis, garlic scapes, cherry tomatoes, and the first of the snap peas. I might be able to add some tomatoes yet, check at the end of the day on Monday.

We’re having some issues with the Harvie software not filling your boxes to the full amount. I’m still waiting for a reply from the support team as to how to fix it. In the meantime I’ll send a separate email with more details about that.

Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is pasture-raised eggs, fresh baking (baked by my Mom), refrigerator pickles, and our homemade ranch dressing.

As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.

Have a great week!
