It's for good reason that Saskatchewan is called "Land of living skies"! I love watching the changing colors and textures of the sky while working in the field, especially when a storm is coming. The bottom right picture shows the edge of a storm system that just missed us.

This is the week for salad turnips! We finally got an awesome crop of them this week! Also on the list is beets, carrots, the last broccoli til later in fall, saskatoons (from Andrea at Leoville), snap peas and shelling peas. It’s been a good growing week! It hasn’t rained for a week or two here so we’re starting to irrigate again. We finally have carrots ready, lots of broccoli, cabbage, and tomatoes. The peas are filling out so we’ll be picking snap peas this week for sure, and maybe shelling p1 read more »

A few days of heat and sun have made quite a difference! New for this week are potatoes, Swiss chard, kale, kohlrabi, and zucchini.
