Wow, that was hot last week! I hope you all managed to get a chance to cool off. Keeping the irrigation running was a big part of our work last week.

This is the final week of farm shares! Other than for the early frost, it's been a beautiful fall! We're still digging potatoes and carrots, there's lots of salad turnips yet, and the kale is still producing. This week will clean out the lettuce and most of the salad mix. Well, we are rapidly coming to the end of the farm shares! This is the second last week. There's a few new things this week: leeks, which are a new crop for us, broccoli, oregano, and the winter squash and pumpkins. read more »

We've got fall colours here now! It sounds like the weather will be nice all week, should be a good time to dig potatoes. The onions, pumpkins and winter squash are all out of the garden already. We're still just digging the carrots as we need them, but they've had enough frost to sweeten them up.1 read more »
Farm Happenings for September 16, 2020
Here's a bunch of the pumpkins and squash that we picked last week before it froze. They are in the greenhouse to cure for a few weeks before they are ready to sell. We also picked all the sweet peppers and jalapenos, so have lots of those available now. The biggest loss from the frost is the corn.1 read more »
