Hi Friends,
Welcome to the first full week of October! If you like Number One Sons' famous kimchi, it's the time of year where fresh Napa cabbage from our fields will be in those jars. We are also are proud to announce that we are now providing, fresh healthy vegetables for Food Justice DMV, which is a volunteer collective delivering food and standing in solidarity with thousands of immigrant neighbors. You can read more about their mission at www.foodjusticedmv.org.
The weather is turning very quickly and it's time to bring all of the summer vegetables in and prepare for winter. That means we're out picking as many eggplants, peppers, and tomatoes as we can before we say goodbye to the plants that produced so much for us this year. Soon we'll dig our potato and sweet potato crop and then it will be time to think about planting garlic for next spring!
