What’s in the Box

The radishes are lovely, and the arugula continues to delight.  The spinach is coming on slower then predicted but will trickle in this week.  The bok choi is very abundant, and the first few fresh beets and kohlrabi are starting this week.

There's finally enough asparagus to go around and I'm loving it!

We've also hit peak rhubarb season; its bright, and tart and perfect for spring!

On the Farm

The first round of slicing tomatoes are planted, as is most of the Italian eggplant and the first zucchini planting.  This year we've planned to include some paste tomatoes in the second round- let us know if you are a canner in search of these (firmlyrootedfarm@gmail.com)

We seeded our winter squash and melons (watermelon and canteloupe) in the greenhouse and will plant these out in the next 3 weeks or so.

It's feeling almost like summer and we are so happy to have the sun and warmth back with us.

That’s all for now, happy eating until next time,

Farmer Tamara
