What’s in the Box
The greens are flooding in and the arugula, spinach and salad mix are completely perfect and abundant this week. We grew the sweetest little mini romaines too!
Asparagus is still pumping as is rhubarb.
Herbs are shifting from thyme, oregano and chives to focus on the brighter flavours of mint, dill and cilantro. I love using all of these in salad dressings and yogurt dips.
On the Farm
The cherry tomatoes are sprinting along with the 30+ degree weather this week. It'll be another 6 weeks or so before we are swimming in the little sweeties we all know and love but they are doing well.
The cucumbers are growing with similar speed and we are training them up so they'll have perfect fruits (we hope), and so they will be easy to pick.
Next week will be a flurry of transplanting: squash, zucchini, celeriac, leeks, and more!
Jack and Ruby and both becoming great helpers and we love having them here as we grow your food. Here's Jack loading microgreen trays into the flat filler.
That’s all for now, happy eating until next time,
Farmer Tamara
