What’s in the Box?

You should consider this newsletter an ode to zucchini.  We pick it daily, and on the small side so that it's firm and sweet and perfect for all your summer bbq's, potlucks and more.  I hope you'll give this recipe a try and make it on repeat all summer long:

Our second round of sugar snap peas are just coming ready but they are not nearly as plentiful as the first ones.  Sorry folks.

Cucumbers look great, cherry tomatoes are still dribbling in (but then it's only the first part of July, just wait until later in the month!)

The butterhead/ boston lettuce look and taste divine.

On the Farm

I'm looking at the garlic with a mix of trepidation and anticipation.  It looks great, but garlic harvest tends to act as the straw that breaks the camel's back.  It's a huge task that we need to fit in amongst all the regular farm stuff that refuses to wait until we've managed to wrestle our nearly 6,000 bulbs out of the field.    But we've got a great crew and we know it'll all get done.  Once it does, it's full steam ahead on fall plantings.  Summer just flies by, doesn't it?

That’s all for now, happy eating until next time,

Farmer Tamara
