We have a large crop of cucumbers on our hands: 2300 will go into shares this week, and they will continue to arrive for a while yet. That being the case, you might consider making some pickles. If you want to keep them fresh in the refrigerator longer, wrap each cucumber in a paper towel, and then seal them in a Ziplock bag. Most of you will also receive yellow plums this week. Some of those may still be hard enough to warrant another day or two of ripening on your counter, but most are ready to eat and should be stored in the refrigerator. Please remember that good food goes bad quickly in this weather. If any of your items arrive spoiled, email us at csa@greatcountryfarms.com.
