Change of the Seasons
That was a cold week! A couple nights at 27 degrees. On coldest nights, we turn sprinklers on so that heat is generated turning water to ice. It protects the plants under a layer of ice! This technique is used to save Florida orchards from a freeze.

CHANGE OF THE SEASONS
Soon we will have a frost that will put our summer beds to sleep for the winter rest. That’ll be it for tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and basil. Meanwhile, the cool temps will sweeten carrots, turnips and leafy greens.
