Its citrus season!
While my daughter was attending college in Montevallo she regularly reached out to local growers for produce. On the advice of a fellow student she visited Jim and Mildred Knowles at Spring Creek for a few apples. Well the rest is history as they say and we have been visiting them every year and harvesting citrus, persimmons and getting their yummy citrus honey! They also encouraged us to plant our own citrus trees and 2 years ago we gathered the grandchildren and planted 2 satsuma and 2 Myer lemon. They are still babies, but getting bigger harvested each year.
This week we will be adding the freshest, best tasting grapefruits you have ever tasted in your shares!
