Week 3 in here! I spotted the cauliflower beginning to form heads while doing my weekly (was daily lol) farm walk through. The squash and zucchini are also blooming and should be producing within 2 weeks.
The severe storm that came through on Monday night brought heavy rain, wind and we lost power pretty early in the evening. We are very thankful that we only had a small amount of flooding and limbs down. I know many of you also lost power and had damage, our thoughts and prayers are with you all and hope everything is starting to get back to normal.
This week we are adding local honey from Aretha Dix owner of Divine Vines and Decor and recently keeper of honey bees to our add-on list. Her honey is 100% pure and locally harvested in Montgomery County. We love supporting other local producers and she happens to be one of our CSA Members too. Her honey can be added to your CSA share delivery and we also encourage you to visit her Boutique on Woodley Rd. in Montgomery for house plants, curated goods and gifts.
Thankful to all our CSA Members for choosing to support small local farms and producer.
Wishing all the mothers in our farm family a Happy Mothers Day!!
Your farmers Jim, Andy, Fielder and Sheila
