Hello there,
Hoping your long weekend was special indeed. Such a dramatic mix of weather with heavy rains and tornado warnings. All is well that ends well and as I write it has all the makings of a beautiful evening.
We were busy on Saturday putting in the last of the broccoli. Lydia and Bjorke came in and leaned in to get that off the todo list. Excellent company to be sure :-) The squash field is starting to produce but is poised for a virtual abundance. I have never seen so many flowers with the bees happily dancing among the petals. Quite, quite beautiful :-) The rain this past week really did do a lot for us. The sweet corn jumped and the potatoes still look great. Just a few weeks away for them now. A few ripening tomatoes on very heavy laiden plants which is exciting. The eggplant are flowering and the onions look terrific. I am going to take a chance and do a little bit more direct seeding...and then that will be that. All in all, like the Rideau that we back onto ..the pace is a little bit on the meandering side ... and in the moment that is worth savouring.
So without further ado... your share awaits so I'll send this off.. enjoy :-)
