Another season, another crew....same field :-)
It is almost like when the circus comes to town. A quiet field..resting over winter with just the casual passerby. Then slowly over the spring the activity starts to build. Field sections get laid out, the tractor starts to run over the field, staff starts to assemble and before you realize it, the show is in underway in full swing.
To bare witness to it it all and to be able to see both the variation and the continuity is an incredible gift. Like the field, I become the constant among the array of varient.
One of the intriguing things how the team bonds. Each brining their set of skills, determined to contribute. Long hours, a sense of urgency become bonding agents and we become close. Smiles and jokes in bodies draped in soil stained, sweat soaked clothes. Marking time by the position of the sun or even sometimes, the moon.
The rhythem of the season takes over and you become lost in it.
