On The Farm
This week we are getting our final planting into the hoophouses, which have now been liberated of tomatoes. We’re pretty excited to be able to keep eating fresh food well into December this year. Now is the time of year when we begin to prepare the land for next season, so there is a lot of field clean up, mowing, broadforking, compost spreading and power harrowing. That is – when we aren’t harvesting!
Broccoli
There is a chance the broccoli you received last week turned off. We think we mishandled the post-harvest processing as we noticed some had gone bad after being in the cold room. Naturally, we were super disappointed by this. So if you did get some bad broccoli, don’t hesitate to send me a message and we will credit your account.
Veggie Highlights
We finally have carrots! We’re really happy with this planting of carrots. We put a lot of time prepping the soil, keeping it moist while the carrots germinated, and then weeding it and weeding it and weeding it. Now, we are rewarded with TONS of carrots which will be for the remaining weeks of our main share plus our fall share! We hope you enjoy! 
Also NEW this week are pie pumpkins and hakurei turnip.
