It's a hen's world out here! They love pecking around in the early morning and late afternoons. Not so much in the heat of the day. That's when they do most of their egg laying business and lay in the shade taking dust baths.
The super dry heat wave of the May 17th week caught us off guard a bit causing us to spend a lot of time irrigating things that normally we don't have to worry about.
We got some more melons planted along with okra, beans, peas and more corn. Summer is coming!
