Delightful Eaters,
Can you believe it?! It's the final week of the Farmshare! We have had a great season feeding y'all and have so many great memories of planting trees, foggy mornings, dew-dripping crops, blasting summer sun, eagles and killdeer, snakes, smiles, children's and crew birthdays, and of course soaking November rains.
I'm already feeling nostalgic for the season-almost-past and we are going to miss you. Well, actually, I hope not. We are at markets through the winter in Seattle and Port Angeles and of course we are going to do it all once again next season for FARMSHARE 2025 EDITION! (Details to come in an upcoming email).
One thing that alleviates the tinge of loss is renewal. And we have just had some new crew arrive last week (on a sailboat returning from a voyage to Alaska nonetheless!). Meeting new folks and working shoulder to shoulder with them is such a rewarding experience. Zach and Alize are their names and they are the feature this week for our final edition of Crew Profiles this season.
Here's what they had to say:

2. Where are you from? "Venice Beach, California." How did that place shape you? "Venice made me love the beach and outdoors.".
3. What was your first impression of Sequim? "Wow! So pretty mountains.".
4. What drew you to farming? "Craigslist".
5. Favorite vegetable crop at River Run? "Potatoes".
6. Favorite number? And why? "4, because that was my cousin's favorite number growing up because that's Brett Farve's number and he's a Packers fan and I copied him."
7. Do you have a superpower? What is it? "No and if I did have a superpower I wouldn't share it because that could jeopardize my secret identity."
8. Share a life lesson learned. "Wake up early and read."
9. Share some qualities you enjoy about your best friend. "She's just so funny and always pushes me to be in the moment and be a better person. She knows 3 languages."
1. Name? "Alize".
2. Where are you from? "Venice beach, California". How did that place shape you? "It made me really enjoy meeting people from all walks of life."
3. What was your first impression of Sequim? "I thought it was cute, we walked in the downtown and ate at the 101 Diner (they have bottomless fries). "
4. What drew you to farming? "Curiosity, I enjoy eating organic vegetables and wanted to do some physical work."
5. Favorite vegetable crop at River Run? "Tomatoes".
6. Favorite number? And why? "7 , Maybe because my birthdays on the 7th?".
