NEW CROPS -- GREEN BEANS AND CARROTS!
It is always fun to see a new crop come along, and this week we have available both green beans and carrots. As usual for our soil, carrots are often slightly misshapen, and not the perfectly cylindrical shape that carrots can assume when grown on sandy soil. Green beans are a select, slim, variety. Takes more beans to make a pound's worth, but very tasty! In the picture above we have both our transplanter planting some fall brussels sprouts, and another tractor getting ground ready for the final sowing of carrots, to be harvested in late October or early November.
