Strawberries are winding down (especially since the wild storms), but greens like lettuce, arugula and kale are coming on strong. This week’s farm stand features all three of these greens. New for us are mini romaine heads, compact little bunches of romaine with leaves just the right size for sandwiches.
Other items on the farm stand this week include garlic scapes, fresh pastured eggs, dill, local honey, and our own strawberry jam and grass-fed beef. Because of the hard rains this week, we can’t predict how many quarts of strawberries we will have on Thursday, delivery day. We may not have any. If we do have berries, we will send out email to everyone who orders to let you know what’s available, and you can add strawberries to your order if you wish.
We hope the strawberry season isn’t completely over, but the storms may have finished it for us. Now we can look ahead to peas, garlic heads, and other summer crops.
