Summer Heat
Whew, it's hot out there! Kids are back in school and it seems like fall should be coming, but we have the heat of midsummer at the farm. That means lettuces aren’t doing well, but tomatoes, raspberries, peppers and green beans are ripening fast.

We Have Tomatoes!
Our tomatoes are finally ripening in earnest, and we have a good selection on the farm stand this week. We have an especially large amount of Brandywine heirloom tomatoes, and they are delicious.

Rain at Last!
Our gardens have been suffering from lack of rain and high temperatures, but we finally got a good soaking today (Tuesday). Drip irrigation keeps things alive, but rain helps crops thrive. (The chickens enjoy the new growth of grass, too!)
