It’s the start of tomato season, with the first heirloom tomatoes on the farm stand this week. We never realize how much we missed that superb flavor until we experience it again!
In addition to heirloom tomatoes, we also have lots of regular red tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. New this week are green onions; there will be more of those in coming weeks. Other items on the farm stand: red beets, zucchini, kale, green beans, peppers, blueberries, garlic, and the last of the sugar snap peas. Plus flower bouquets, fresh herbs, eggs, strawberry jam, local honey, and grass-fed beef.
Meals these days at the farm are filled with the abundance from the gardens. It’s a wonderful time of year!
