I've been napping inside while the humans go out into the cold. Sometimes they are working on harvesting, washing, packing, and caring for the vegetables going into your shares. All the other times, they are working to prepare for the upcoming season.
Crazy, right? It's only the beginning of January, but we are already filling up the propagation house. Before we know it, the CSA shares and farmers' market stands will be overflowing with bright colors and summer flavors. But for now, we enjoy the bitter greens and sweet greens... and well, all the greens. It's fun to eat seasonally - you never get tired of anything!
There is new greens this week including radicchio, frisee, and escarole. Swap these in!
