Welcome to your fall harvest share! Things are looking pretty green around here these days, and the weather has been more than fall-like. We even had a super light patchy frost on Wednesday morning! It was still September! So just in case you are new to the harvest shares:
Please return (or leave) your box when you pick up your fresh share each week. Re-using boxes helps us keep costs down. The compostable liner is yours to keep (it's there for food safety reasons so we can't re-use those. Salad and arugula containers are compostable, but if your compost is too small or you don't have a compost pile, you can return them to us and we'll compost them in our giant compost pile. Veggie/kitchen scraps inside is highly recommended (it helps the boxes break down faster). Our egg supplier (Mountain Memories Farm) really wants egg cartons back if you can remember.
Remember that your box has your name on it, so make sure you get the correct box! (check first AND last names as we sometimes have multiples of those)
That's all I can think of right now. Enjoy your harvest!
