This Week's Veggie Notes: You may feel like your winter veggie box is on repeat with the same things each time. That is what happens when you eat local and seasonal in the dead of winter. You are doing great! Enjoy the second last winter delivery.
If you need inspiration for new ideas on using your vegetables I encourage you to join the Harvie Members Facebook Group. Post a question about what to do with a vegetable and you'll get lots of responses. It's a great group. Some of our Willow Haven CSA members are already there! JOIN HERE
***NEW EXTRA*** Jacob's Cattle Kidney Beans just arrived from our friends at Terra Fauna Farm in Northampton. They grew them over the summer as a fresh bean and then waited until the beans were fully mature and dried. After removing the dried bean from the shells they are bagged and ready to be rehydrated and cooked. I can't wait to try them in a soup next week. These are an heirloom variety of kidney bean that originated with the natives in Maine. Each bag is 1 lb.
