SAVE YOUR LABEL if you are missing an item or something is unsatisfactory. Sending us a picture of your label will help us diagnose our error in the pack line and make improvements. (You can discard your labels afterward.)
This is seasonal eating! Winter Radish, purple sweet potatoes, fingerling potatoes and kohlrabi are showing up in winter shares next week.
Purple sweet potatoes may be less sweet than your typical orange ones but will be very good roasted and seasoned. Fingerling potatoes are fun because of their shape. Look for a recipe that features them or use with any favorite recipe. Kohlrabi is a favorite "new to you" vegetable in the summer shares. Winter radish is more mild than the crunchy spring radish you are used to. These two articles and the recipes they include will get you excited to try them. Reuben tells me there are some white and some black varieties this week. I'm not sure which one I'll get so I'll have fun experimenting along with you. Look for Haven Farmstead aged cheese and salami in Extras as well as the Pastured Pork from Farmer Reuben.
