First thing Monday morning our crew headed to the field to pick beans and weed greens.
Dragon Tongue Beans and Purple beans were picked and will be sent various places this week.
The crew reported that weeding the mixed greens and arugula was fairly easy and almost fun. The rows were being protected from flea beetles and other pests by fabric row covers. The soil was moist and made it easy to pull up the weeds by the hand full. Then the rows have to be covered again until it is time to harvest.
You can look forward to some fresh fall salads in a few weeks
