Food is really important. Is that the understatment of the week?
We are riding on the waves of the uncertainty and daily changes too.
Fortunately, we have a lot of things in place already to keep growing food and make it available to you.
- We bought and have in stock most of our seeds for the season.
- We have supplies, water and fuel on hand.
- Most importantly we have our land and our fertility to grow our vegetables and feed our animals.
We want to assure you that we, and farms like ours, have the ability and committment to be key players in supporting our local communities during this challenging time.
A message to our Farm Share CSA members: we are sticking with our planting plan and anticipate starting veggie box deliveries in the first week in June. I'm sure there will be tweaks and adjustments that need to be made but we will keep you informed.
What if you need food now? New online buying club option: This winter Reuben started working on a project to expand home delivery of farm products to the Lehigh Valley. The timing works out so that our online platform will be ready to take orders in the next week or two. This will be a way that ANYONE can get farm products from trusted local farms, not just ours, on a week by week basis. This online buying club will be called Lehigh Valley Farm to Table and is owned, run, managed, etc. by us: Willow Haven Farm.
