So many new things this week! Here's a pic from our onion harvest a few weeks ago. Always great to see women on tractors. First off, we hope those of you who got a substitute for your yellow squash last week enjoyed it. We're sorry we overestimated that harvest; the cooling temperatures slowed the squash growth considerably. This week we've got potatoes to add to the list. Purple, pink, gold and fingerling potatoes. Also okra, green peppers and some hot peppers. We are finally getting into our field tomatoes, which will add new varieties to the mix. Look for roma tomatoes soon. We had to replant carrots last Sunday, so hopefully we are going to have a great stand, but we won't know for a few days. Enjoy the food everyone!

About the farm
At Blue Moon Farm, our goal is simple: Produce the most beautiful, best tasting produce possible using only organic methods. Our 20-acre organic vegetable farm located 10 miles north of Champaign-Urbana grows quality produce for Urbana's farmer's market, grocery stores, our CSA, and local restaurants. We are committed to the collective project of implementing farming practices that promote the health and well-being of the land we grow on and the people who eat our food. Buying locally leads to more accountability between the farmer and the eater and that relationship is important to us.
