We put lots of funky tomatoes in the extras category, so if you want canning tomatoes, now is the time. Once our field tomatoes get going, we generate a lot of unbeautiful tomatoes that need a home in sauce.
Some housekeeping:
We have close to 250 shares we are packing out each week, and though we constantly try to improve our system, there are always a couple of people who have something missing from their box. Please do let us know so that we can either get it to you or give you a credit.
For those of you who ordered peak season shares, once your share period is over, you can still order through the Farm Stand. You will get an email each week telling you what's available to put in your box on a week-to-week basis. Through farm stand, you actually order a share, then customize it as usual. You can pick your delivery location each week as well. We anticipate having a lot of items to sell for the October and November months, as market sales have gone down this year.
