Life on the farm is busy, but there is always time to think. The big question that I have been asking myself a lot lately is where is humanity heading?? Fear, anger, violence, and disease dominate the news. People are angry. People are scared. We are collectively stressed. The earth is burning and flooding and melting. From fires to firearms, the tales of heartache and destruction are intensifying. No matter what type of life we are living, we are all being affected in some way by what is happening among and around us. In the midst of so much emotion, I struggle at times to have rational thoughts. My logical brain just keeps asking why? Why does our species continue to perpetuate the very problems that threaten to destroy all that is sacred? I just can't seem to make sense of it all. But still, I try.
In a search for answers I plunge my hands into the ground by day, and at night I cast my gaze upon the stars. The message becomes clear. We must continue to grow love. Seeds become food. Our thoughts become our actions and our actions can change the future. What if every person was nourished by food that was grown with love? Would the fighting stop? Would the hatred cease? Would fear become awe? I am hungry for answers, and the urgency is growing. The time for Love is Now. Eat your carrots, and pass it on!
