Having just cruised past the longest day of the year with hot and humid weather to boot, the vegetable are growing like CRAZY! Lots of light and plenty of heat make the crops grow at seemingly super sonic speeds, so this time of year we need all hands on deck. Did you know that cucumbers can literally grow over 6 inches in a day? We can't take our eyes off of anything for more than 24 hours if we want to keep up with all this growth.
This is good news for our members, because it means that new veggies are popping up on the horizon every week. Check out all of the selections when you customize your share this week. If there is an item slotted to be in your upcoming share that you would like to swap out for something else, there are plenty of options to choose from. You can easily swap similarly priced items for one another. If you swap something in with a lower value than the item that you're swapping out, then your account will hold onto that credit for future deliveries. If you swap in something with a higher value, then you may incur a swap charge. All item values are listed so that you are able see what you're working with. Got questions? Feel free to reach out!
One last bit of business for now: when you pick up your share at one of our drop sites, be sure to bring your own bags. We will have bags on hand every week in case you forget, but this is a housekeeping detail that is worth mentioning. So grab those bags and fill 'em up with your goodies from the farm.
