Making it to the end of the CSA season is a reason to celebrate because it means that we successfully fed all of our 115 CSA families for 20 weeks straight! This season we've distributed hundreds of pounds of salad mix, thousands of pounds of carrots and (hopefully), countless smiles. Beautiful, healthy food is always the goal, and we appreciate your belief in the farm as a viable source of such food in 2022.
Looking ahead, the 2023 season may seem like a ways off, but here at the farm we are already thinking towards our production goals for next year. Soon we will need to put in our seed order to ensure that we can grow all the varieties that we've come to love. Knowing what we will need to plant is directly connected to knowing how many people we will aim to serve, so we like to get folks on board for next season at the end of this one. And that is where Auto-Renew comes in!
If you like being in the CSA and would choose to join us again year, your share will automatically be renewed within 2 weeks of the end of the CSA. (Auto-Renew is set for the week of 11/14). If you do not wish to have your share auto-renewed, you will need to toggle your Auto-Renew setting to the Off position in your Harvie account (click here for instructions on how to do this). We do have a couple of notable changes ahead which will affect some of our members. Please read on!
- First, we will no longer be offering a drop site in Montello. For anyone who has been picking up their share at MORE Healthy Foods, ownership has changed along with circumstance, so we encourage you to select a new drop site if possible. Current options are Green Lake, Ripon, Oshkosh and the farm. I will follow up with our Montello folks to give you more details.
- Second, our bread vendor will be changing from Renard's to Thunderbird Bakery in Oshkosh. If you do not currently have a bread share but are interested in adding one on next season, you can add that to your share during the one week auto renew period in November. Details on the Thunderbird bakery bread share will be forthcoming as well.
If you have any questions for us about end of the season business, please don't hesitate to reach out! It has been a pleasure growing for our members this season, and we look forward to continuing to serve you over the winter through our online farm store. If you do not currently get an email from us for the online farm store, you can request to be added to that list on our website or by contacting Danielle. Weekly emails for our online store go out Tuesday mornings and orders can be placed through 5 pm on Fridays for Saturday pick up at the farm.
For the moment, there are lots of great options available this week! As always, enjoy!
