We are officially at the end of the CSA season, and as they say, parting is such sweet sorrow. All things considered, it's been a good season with several improvements on the farm, many positive connections made with members, and some record harvests on the books. One of our improvements was the completion of our pavilion, which houses our on-farm pick up and supports the solar array which now powers the farm. Members who pick up at the farm have gotten acquainted with this space, but many of you have never been! Either way, you are welcome to come check it out and say hi over the coming months. We are running our online farm store weekly, so much of the produce, eggs and ground beef that you've been enjoying in your share will continue to be available throughout the fall, winter and spring...until the CSA begins again! Going forward, we will be sure to keep you in the loop so that you can continue to have access to the food.
For the moment, we still have a couple bits of business to wrap up, including a reminder that auto-renew is on the horizon. If you wish to rejoin and are comfortable with paying ahead (either payment plan of 25% or pay in full), then you don't have to do anything except watch for follow up communication. If you do NOT wish to rejoin at this time, then be sure to log into you Harvie account and toggle off the auto-renew button. No matter what, you will receive an email from us at the end of this month with a reminder. The 1 week auto-renew period will begin on Monday, November 6th and shares will automatically renew on Monday, November 13.
One other bit of helpful information: we are raising the price of our shares by 10% for 2024. We've managed to hold the same pricing for 5 seasons, but will now bump them up slightly to help us off set some of our operating and labor expenses. If you normally sign on for a small share, the cost will now be $22/box. Medium shares will be $33/box, and large shares will be $44. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about this. We appreciate your feedback!
