Note: Meat sales are in the process of being transitioned from Harvie to Square! We will continue to use Harvie while the Square site is being created, but stay tuned for additional updates.
The Dickinson College Farm is proud to provide grass-fed, humanely-raised meat for the campus community. We hope that our efforts to care for, respect and love these animals is reflected in the quality of our animal products. In recognition of our efforts to provide exemplary care for our livestock, all of our meat is Animal Welfare Approved and Certified Grass-fed by A Greener World.
Why Choose Grass-Fed?
Dickinson College Farm grass-fed meats:
- Are raised humanely in a rotating pasture system that keeps the animals well-fed and happy! Both Dickinson College Farm and our butcher, Warrington Farm Meats, are Animal Welfare Approved for humane handling.
- Are raised sustainably! Grass-fed programs can reduce soil erosion, water pollution, and energy use in comparison to feed-lot systems. Permanent pasture systems also sequester carbon in the soil which can contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
- Are raised locally and transparently. During the Covid-19 campus closure, customers can see our animals from the South Middleton parks trail system around the farm perimeter. Once the farm is re-opened to visitors we'll invite you to walk the fields to see the animals up close.
- Taste better! At least, that’s our opinion. Although we can’t back that up with data, we’re so confident in our products that all our meats are sold with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Grass-fed meats from small herds may cost a little more than run-of-the-mill beef and lamb from the grocery store or discount stores. But, the extra cost reflect the extra care that we take to raise our animals and an extra bonus of taste for your dinner!

Availability and Pricing:
The Dickinson College Farm raises beef cattle and meat lambs. We keep a rotating stock of frozen retail products, including a variety of steaks and roasts, ground beef, and sausages. Lamb is typically available only in late fall - currently we are sold out.
Meat package prices are based on the approximate package weight multiplied by our retail price per pound.
