Farm Happenings-August 26th 2022
Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes! It's peak summer and we're harvesting tomatoes. Melons are also in full swing and a good portion of the work we're doing now are bigger bulk harvest. We are currently harvesting thousands of pounds of delicious potatoes and more will be harvested next week.

This week on livestock team:
A vet came Monday to treat our calves for pink eye as well as gave us preventative care measures to take.
Every two months we need to do hoof care and parasite checks on the sheep as well as general wellness checks. A few people from veg team came to assist and we1 read more »

About the farm
The Dickinson College Farm is an eighty-acre, USDA-certified organic farm and a living laboratory where students can gain distinctive, hands-on learning experiences. Student employees, graduate apprentices and volunteers are involved in all aspects of food production and research. The farm serves as a venue for the Dickinson community and its neighbors to experience a holistic approach to land stewardship rooted in management practices that work to sustain the natural environment.
