Fallen leaves, empty fields, slowing production. All these little farm endings are quiet but ever present reminders of the ending of mine and my fellow apprentices’ tenures at the farm. So much learned, so much gained and appreciated, so many relationships forged, and so many memories to be forever cherished. This liminal time of knowing the end is near but not quite here yet is full of many emotions, but if I’ve learned anything from the farm it is to embrace the endings as they always herald new, exciting beginnings so long as the proper work has been done.
