Field notes:
This week we dialed in our greenhouses for the late fall - weeding, hoeing, cleaning, and getting row cover in order so that we can protect our greenhouse seedlings once the hard frosts begin to hit in earnest. We've also been bulk harvesting lots of root veggies. We are storing away crates upon crates of beets, radishes, and turnips for late autumn and winter shares. The turnips in particular are looking downright regal in all their purple and white glory. And in livestock news, our flock of sheep has returned from their second vacation this season to the solar fields - we're jealous of their generous vacation package, but happy to have them back on the farm.
Happy cooking!
