Hello all,
It's been feeling a lot like summer here on the farm. Hot days, rain storms, and vegetable growing chores. This week we planted a bunch more of the farm, trellised tomatoes, pulled tons of weeds, and continued our harvests. The irrigation team was thankful for a break!
This week, we bid a fond farewell to a treasured piece of farm history: our famous upcycled canoe. This champion canoe was built and modified by students and farm staff out of spare materials here on the farm. It won the "Anything Floats" race in Boiling Springs' July 4th celebrations 3 years in a row. It hasn't seen any action in several years to it was re-recycled, but not before one last pirate chant!
