Its a typical hot as heck August in Alabama! It doesn't feel like Fall, however preparation has been underway for weeks. Seeds ordered, summer bed cleaned up and planted with a quick cover crop of sunn hemp, millet, and sunflowers. We are working in the early mornings starting seed trays, expanding growing areas and getting our awesome new wash station/pack area fine tuned and organized. Heading back inside during the hottest part of the day. Fall has always been my favorite growing season here in Alabama and we feel grateful to have such a long growing season. When many areas north of us take a break in the cold winter months we can grow well into December and January. While I will miss tomatoes on my counter, I look forward to cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and Blue collards to name a few. I get just as excited to plant in the Fall as I do come spring time.
The Fall Session deliveries will begin Oct 7th thru December 19th for 10 weeks (no deliveries the week of Thanksgiving).
For members convenience your farm share will automatically renew for Fall Session.
Auto renew will start August 17th! You will receive an email about your membership details on that date. At that time you will a 3 days as a grace period in which you can make changes or cancel your order prior to your card being charged. You will be receiving more information and reminders via email over the next week.
We have expanded and adding available share to our Fall Session. On 20th those who are Farm Stand subscribers will have the opportunity to become full share members. Look for more information in your email soon.
