Whew! We've got the first week of deliveries behind us. With a new software system there are lots of little technical and administrative details to juggle. Thanks to all the members for your patience!
Now back to growing! There is a bit of a lull between spring planting and planting for fall (which will start in July) and this time is for...weeding! And more mulching!And pruning and trellising tomatoes and cucumbers. We're looking forward to the cooler weather forecast for this week, which will make it far more pleasant to be getting things done in the field. And rain. The June sun is powerful and any ground that isn't mulched quickly dries out. Even with that fantastic rain almost two weeks ago.
In the picture, you can see our cooler on Thursday afternoon -- packed full of shares ready for Friday delivery! With the new software that allows all members to customize their shares and gives us great pick and pack lists, we were able to pack over 50 shares in about 20 minutes! It was fun to see how the shares were all a little bit different. Hope are enjoying all those veggies!
